Gerber’s Firewood is a family owned and operated business. We have been providing quality products and services for the past 15 years.

We deliver from 1 cord to 21 cord loads, across all of southwestern Ontario, from the KW region to the beautiful shores of Lake Huron and Georgian Bay.

Sustainability

At Gerber’s we source our wood from local forestry industry who sustainably remove trees from wood lots. Trees are removed from wood lots for a variety of reasons, to maintain a healthy, thriving wood lot.

Large diameter trees are harvested allowing younger trees to grow to maturity. These are sent to sawmills where they are cut into lumber and finally used for building furniture, kitchens, etc.

Trees that are growing too close together need to be thinned, allowing the choicest to grow to full potential. Diseased trees need to be culled to prevent disease from spreading.

Trees that attract bird and wildlife habitat are left intact.

Without removing any trees, a forest would become unhealthy, unattractive, and unproductive! Thus with responsible management the cycle continues for future generations!
